How to Not Set the Same New Years Resolutions in 2018

10/5/2017

Let me tell you the one thing that can stop you from achieving your 2017 New Years resolution and living the fit and healthy lifestyle that you deserve.
Feeling like it is too late.
It's that feeling that the year has gone so quick and it is now October which pretty much means the year is over. The Christmas deco's are in the shops... it's too late, you've stuffed it up again this year, and now you are probably too overwhelmed with life to do anything about it anyway.
Why am I writing about this feeling? Well because I know it all too well, and was just reflecting on it this week.

Well because I know it all too well and was just reflecting on it this week.
There are things that I wished I had started or achieved and haven't. I was thinking to myself just this week, that I will just add them to the New Year's Resolutions for next year.  It didn't feel right.
Not to mention that the things that haven't been done are things that I wanted to achieve for myself personally... the things for me.  Can you relate?
Then something switched and I was like 'nooooo!'.
I looked at my calender, 11 and a bit weeks left of this year. More than enough time to achieve the things I wanted to and definitely more than enough time to create new habits. Hell, I get people to establish new habits in 21 days!
So, NO writing off the rest of the year.
It is not too late. Yes, you still have time.
Don't disappoint yourself with the same New Years resolutions as 2017.
This is what you need to do...
  • take out the list of New Year's resolutions or think about what they were
  • look at them and get clear on which ones were realistic and actually important enough to you to do something about it
  • Choose 2
  • Create a plan of what you need to do in the next 11 weeks, the steps you need to take- keep it simple
  • Have 2 actions points for each goal that you will commit to doing each week and JUST DO IT!
These are some of the things you can achieve before 2018:
  • lose 7-12kg
  • drop 2 dress sizes
  • increase your energy levels
  • run 5km (even if you are not doing any running at the moment)
  • learn how to meal plan and transform your eating habits
  • insert your own resolutions < HERE > 😉
So, kick your excuses to the side and take action TODAY and for the rest of 2017, because 2017 was meant to be the year about looking after you, right?
