Not Getting Your Cardio In and Need the Motivation to Do It?
After a recommendation of one of our members (thanks Jayne Cavaggion!) to run a Walking Group, we now have it up and running! Sentience Personal Training's first Walking Group will start Wednesday 21st April at 6:30am!
We invite you to join our FREE Community Walking Groups lead by Members for Members!
The goal of the Walking Groups is to:
Bring members together that are interested in increasing their activity levels
Give members the accountability and support to stay active
A social opportunity to connect with like-minded people as you navigate together to achieve a healthier lifestyle
Walking Groups are hosted by Members at a particular time for a four week block. Check out the times Walking Groups are available on our timetable or HOST your own walking group at a time that suits you!
When and what to bring?
When: Walking Groups will be held at different times of the week, based on Members hosting a walk. Our first walk is being held at 6:30am on Wednesday's
What to Bring:
water
appropriate walking footwear
weather-appropriate clothing (hat, jacket or shorts/ t-shirt)
Where: walkers will meet at the front of Sentience Personal Training, walk up Kurrak Road and then the bulk of the walk will be on the great new walkways on Yan Yean Road. Walking groups may choose to pick a different location every so often.
Walks Duration: walks will run between 40mins to 1hour.
How to Book: Book in via the Sentience Personal Training App
How do the Walking Groups Work?
Members will put their hand up to be a 'Host'. Hosts choose a time to host four consecutive weeks of walks; they select a time and meeting place, mainly Yan Yean Rd- parking at Sentience Personal Training. We will advertise the Walking Group time and day by adding it into the Sentience Personal Training App, in the studio, email, and Members Facebook Group.
I will have guidelines for the Hosts and the walkers. After the four weeks, the Hosts can choose to do another four weeks simultaneously and place if all went well. Different members can host multiple walks throughout the week. Sentience Personal Training is coordinating but not delivering these Walking Groups. Our Trainers will not be at each session; these Walking Groups are lead my Members for Members. However, Trainers may pop in and join in if and when they can.
Members participating in these walks do so at their own risk and take all responsibility.
