Hi There!

When I first opened Sentience Personal Training in 2008, I saw that people were frustrated trying to understand the fundamentals of losing weight and getting fitter and healthier. Achieving a healthy body became especially tough after the age of 40.

Since turning 40, I started to understand why- old strategies we used in our 20's and 30's no longer work, AND now that we are wiser, we didn't want those old dieting strategies either.

I started to offer education on how our bodies change as we age and specific exercises that began to get the results our members found so hard to achieve on their own.

Since 2008 we have helped thousands of 40+ men and women improve their fitness, body confidence and health, as well as the health of their families.

I have a team of personal trainers who put your needs first. Trainers that genuinely care and want to contribute to helping you achieve what will make you happy, meeting you where you are at right now.

We're not on the latest fad or trend. We work with you at your pace to help you achieve your goals.

This program will work for you if you:

  • Are able to attend 50min sessions 2-  3 times per week
  • Are able to add 1-2  walks (or alternative cardio) of 20-40min in duration each week-
  • Are willing to improve  your daily habits
  • Are ready to learn a sustainable meal planning formula that can be adapted to your lifestyle and preferences
  • Want the accountability of regular check ins to keep on track

Also the following is important to you:
  • steady progress and not wanting to be pushed to hard too fast
  • We understand your injuries, conditions, age and ability
  • being a part of a supportive, friendly and social environment
  • we do not promote quick fixes, restrictive diets and excessive exercise

Orientation & Goal Setting

We guide you through every step of the way, beginning with an Orientation session where we set your goals, complete a Healthy Lifestyle Checklist, and then put actions in place to progress and improve all aspects of a healthy lifestyle.

Accountability & InBody Scans

Keep your results on track with regular check ins and InBody Scans available to Members.  We recommend scans every 4-6 weeks.

Monthly Recipe Packs and Resources

Delicious and quick to prepare monthly Recipe Packs will are available via our Members only webpage.  With an archive of over 6 months of Recipe Packs, with 14 recipes in each pack,  you will have lots of variety to choose from.

The Sentience Personal Training Difference

Working out at Sentience PT has certainly changed my diet, I no longer crave junk food, I've also learnt to manage my eating and sleeping habits better.  Sentience PT is a great environment for all people of all fitness levels shapes and sizes, everyone feels welcome and you don't feel like people are staring at you like you do in normal gyms.

Thanks for this morning’s virtual work out!  Amongst all this craziness and being confined to home, it was great to reconnect with the Sentience family and get a sweat up!  The workout was completely tailored to at home … weights for me today was a 3kg bag of rice!
